Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez is the current WBC junior bantamweight titleholder and a two-division champion. Rodriguez defeated Juan Francisco Estrada on June 29 to regain the belt. He had won the WBC junior bantamweight title against Carlos Cuadras in February 2022, but relinquished the belt to move down in weight and challenge Chistian Gonzalez Hernandez for the WBO flyweight title in April 2023. Rodriguez earned a unanimous decision win and then unified belts against Sunny Edwards eight months later, before moving back up to face Estrada.
