1. Ben Youngs – 127 caps

Debut: vs. Scotland at Murrayfield, 2010.

Ben Youngs retired at the end of the 2023 Rugby after 127 Tests for England, the most of any player in history. During his time in the white jersey, Youngs played in the 2019 World Cup final in Japan and won four Six Nations titles including a Grand Slam in 2016.

He also represented the British & Irish Lions in 2013.

2. Dan Cole – 118 caps*

Debut: vs. Wales at Twickenham, 2010.

Prop Dan Cole has been a mainstay in the England team for the last 15 years. He has represented England at the 2011, 2015, 2019 and 2023 World Cups.

As well as winning three Six Nations titles, including a Grand Slam in 2016, he was represented the British & Irish Lions fourteen times, including three Tests.

He is still playing international rugby.

3. Jason Leonard – 114 caps

Debut: vs. Argentina at Vélez Sarsfield, 1990.

The only member of the 2003 World Cup winning side to earn 100 caps or more, Jason Leonard is an icon of English rugby. On his debut at the age of 22, he became the youngest ever England player until Asher Opoko-Forjour made his Test debut at age 20 in 2024.

Leonard played in four World Cup campaigns including England’s sole victory in Australia. He is also a British & Irish legend, with six Tests and was part of the famous squad which earned a series win in South Africa in 1997.

He won four Six Nations Grand Slams with England.

4. Owen Farrell – 112 caps

Debut: vs. Scotland at Murrayfield, 2012.

Whether at fly-half or in the midfield, Farrell was a key part of England’s successes over the past decade. He is England’s all-time leading points scorer with 1237.

Farrell stepped away from international rugby and moved to to ply his trade at Racing 92 after the 2023 World Cup, citing the online abuse he has suffered. Before then, he won three Six Nations crowns including the 2016 Grand Slam. He has toured three times with the Lions, earning a series victory over Australia and a drawn series against New Zealand.

5. Courtney Lawes – 105 caps

Debut: vs. Australia at Twickenham, 2009.

An old school, gritty, no-nonsense forward, Lawes had a profound impact on English rugby. At domestic level, he was a one-club player with Northampton until the end of last season before a move to France called.

On the international stage, Lawes was an uncompromising player and leader on and off the pitch. He played in the 2019 World Cup final and won three Six Nations, with a Grand Slam in 2016.

He toured twice with the British & Irish Lions in 2017 to New Zealand and in 2021 to South Africa.

6. Danny Care – 101 caps

Debut: vs. New Zealand at Eden Park, 2008.

The most recent player to win 100 caps for England, scrum-half Danny Care also had a successful sevens stint before moving to XV’s, winning silver at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Care won three Six Nations crowns as well as a Grand Slam in 2016. He won his 100th England cap in 2024 after a 16-year England career.
