Pacers’ Obi Toppin leaves after spraining ankle vs. Thunder
Pacers forward Obi Toppin suffered a sprained left ankle in the first quarter of Indiana’s home game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night and will not return.
Toppin was injured when he slipped while trying to pull up for an elbow jumper 8:22 into the contest. He limped to the sideline before falling to the floor in pain and had to be helped to the locker room.
Toppin briefly returned to the court midway through the second quarter, but the Pacers ruled him out for the rest of the game a short time later.
Entering Thursday, Toppin, 26, had averages of 10.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 29 games off the bench for Indiana (15-15) this season.
