Doncic to record a double-double, yes (+160)

Doncic makes his return to the court on his new team, and will want to start with a bang. The Lakers are a team lacking a true center since the Mark Williams trade fell through, which means they typically rely on their forwards to hit the glass. Similarly, Luka will be the point guard for the squad, and thus the primary distributor.

He has averaged 9.2 RPG and 8.4 APG for his career, and though he may initially face a minutes restriction in LA, it wouldn’t be surprising at all for Luka to register double-figures in one or both of those side categories. He is getting plus-money for double-double purely because of that presumed minutes limits, as typically a double-double would be expected. I think he puts one on the board for his new team on Monday. — Snellings

Doncic under 27.5 points (-120)

We all know what Doncic is capable of as a scorer, and I do expect the Lakers to feature him in his debut. However, that minutes restriction Snellings mentioned above is cause for concern. And that’s not the only reason he may not play too many minutes; the Lakers are double-digit favorites, and the Jazz rank near the bottom in points allowed per 100 possessions.

With Doncic returning from injury, conditioning could be a concern, and it’s been a whirlwind for him mentally since the trade. The Lakers are likely to ease him in. — Moody
