U.S. Roster Named For 4 Nations Face-Off

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced tonight its 23-player U.S. Men’s National Team roster that will compete in the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off, Feb. 12-20 in Montreal and Boston.

The group includes 15 forwards, seven defenseman and three goaltenders and features three Stanley Cup champions; four NHL captains and 10 alternate captains; and 22 players who have previously represented the U.S. in top international competition with a combined 47 medals, including 20 gold.

An international tournament being staged by the NHL and NHLPA, the 4 Nations Face-Off will include teams of NHL players representing the U.S., Canada, Finland and Sweden.

“We’ve got a lot of great players and it was extremely challenging to get to a final roster,” said Bill Guerin, general manager of the 2025 U.S. Men’s National Team and also the president of hockey operations and general manager of the Minnesota Wild. “I’d like to thank our management group for their tireless work and also our coaching staff for their input. The journey to get to today was a reminder to all of us of the important work done by those at the grassroots level of our sport, the significant efforts of our top junior leagues in the USHL and NAHL, and also the impact that our National Team Development Program has had. Hockey in our country is strong and continuing to get better, and this team is no doubt a reflection of that.”

Team USA will open play in the 4 Nations Face-Off on Feb. 13 against Finland at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Opening faceoff is set for 8 p.m. ET and the game can be seen live in the U.S. on ESPN. For the full Team USA schedule, click here.

NOTES: Three players on Team USA's roster have won a Stanley Cup championship including Matthew Tkachuk (Florida, 2024), Jack Eichel (Vegas, 2023) and Jake Guentzel (Pittsburgh, 2017) … All players, with the exception of Jake Guentzel, have previously represented the U.S. on the international stage. Jack Eichel and Dylan Larkin have both been part of seven U.S. teams in major international competition, while Chris Kreider and Brock Nelson have both donned Team USA sweaters in six events … Nineteen of the 23 players competed in the USHL, the only Tier I junior league in the U.S. and one player (Connor Hellebuyck), played in the NAHL, the only Tier II junior league in the U.S. … A total of 15 players are alumni of USA Hockey's National Team Development Program … All total, players from 16 NHL teams help comprise Team USA's roster (Boston, Carolina, Columbus, Detroit, Dallas, Florida, Minnesota, Ottawa, New Jersey, NY Rangers, NY Islanders, Tampa, Toronto, Vancouver, Vegas, Winnipeg) … The U.S. roster includes four NHL captains (Quinn Hughes,  Dylan LarkinAuston MatthewsBrady Tkachuk) and 10 NHL alternate captains (Jack EichelAdam FoxJack HughesChris KreiderCharlie McAvoyJ.T.
