Days after Rory McIlroy completed a career grand slam by winning his first green jacket at the 89th Masters Tournament, many of the PGA Tour’s best head to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, to try to secure a plaid jacket in the RBC Heritage.
Scottie Scheffler looks to defend his title this week at Harbour Town Golf Links after finishing fourth at Augusta. The World No. 1 won the RBC Heritage by three strokes last season following a 2½-hour weather delay and an ultimate suspension of play due to darkness.
Scheffler, who is still searching for his first victory of 2025, will be one of 72 golfers looking to take the winning $3.6 million share of the $20 million purse. McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama are the only top 30 players on the PGA Tour not scheduled to compete.
