NBA betting: Five bets that stand out for Monday’s playoff games

The 2025 NBA playoffs continue Monday with two Game 4’s, as the Miami Heat look to fend off a sweep from the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, who hold a 3-0 series lead. Next up, the Golden State Warriors host the Houston Rockets as they look to take a 3-1 series lead at home, with Jimmy Butler III hopefully back on the court for his first home playoff game as a Warrior.

Here are some of the bets that stand out for Monday’s games.

Bets that stand out for Monday

Ty Jerome over 16.5 total points and assists (-115). Cavs starting point guard Darius Garland missed Game 3 with a toe injury and is questionable to play on Monday. But the Cavs absolutely dominated Game 3, winning by 37 points, to go up 3-0 in the series against the Heat with Jerome notching his first career double-double (13 points, 11 assists in 22 minutes). Without any inside information, in my opinion, it would be logical for Garland to rest in Game 4 as well to get as healthy as possible for the rest of the playoffs, and give Jerome another chance to pop. Jerome has been stellar in two of the three playoffs games thus far, including in Game 1 (28 points, 3 assists in 26 minutes) with Garland playing. In addition, to end the regular season, Jerome went over 16.5 total P+A in six of his past seven games, including the last four in a row. – Andre Snellings

Jalen Green under 17.5 points (even). Green has been the most volatile scorer in the playoffs so far. In Games 1 (7 points) and 3 (9 points), Green combined to score under 17.5 points. But in Game 2, Green exploded for 38 points. So, the average of his scoring in the playoffs is 18 PPG… but he’s been (way) under in two of the three playoffs games. And if you extend back into the regular season, Green has scored in single-digits in five of his last six games. I don’t love betting the under, but Green’s play the last couple of weeks suggest his under is much more likely than an over. – Snellings

Cleveland Cavaliers at Miami Heat over 211.5 (-110). Miami will be hoping to avoid getting swept by Cleveland in Game 4. The Heat are a proud franchise and won’t take getting swept lightly, even though they’ve struggled to stay competitive in this series. Through the first three games, the Cavaliers have been the more polished, stronger and more complete team. This line seems a bit low to me, and I still like the over (even if Garland is ruled out). The Cavaliers and Heat have gone over 211.5 in five of the six games they’ve played this season. – Eric Moody

Davion Mitchell to score 15-plus points (+150). Mitchell has been phenomenal for the Heat since the start of the play-in tournament. He’s scored 15-plus points in four of his past five games, including all three games in Miami’s series against the Cavaliers. Mitchell is shooting 68.8% from the field and 66.7% from beyond the arc. Now that he’s starting for the Heat, Mitchell is in a great spot to clear this line in a win-or-go-home Game 4 for Miami. – Moody

Stephen Curry over 5.5 assists (-120). The Warriors look to take a commanding 3-1 lead when they host the Rockets for Game 4. Curry made history in Game 3, passing Hall of Fame point guard Tony Parker for 10th on the league’s all-time playoff scoring list. Perimeter defender Dillon Brooks struggled to guard Curry in Game 3 so adjustments will likely be made, positioning Curry to prosper as a facilitator. He’s cleared this line in 15 of 22 games this season when playing 35 or more minutes, averaging 10.7 potential assists in those games. Curry has also cleared this line in 64% of the 44 games he’s played without Jimmy Butler. – Moody
