Magic’s Franz Wagner back from oblique tear vs. Trail Blazers

Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner will return to the lineup Thursday night against the visiting Portland Trail Blazers.

Wagner has been out since suffering a torn right oblique Dec. 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Wagner had been putting together an All-Star-worthy season up until the injury, averaging 24.4 points, 5.7 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game.

Orlando (23-22) entered Thursday in the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference despite not having Paolo Banchero and Wagner for large chunks of the season. Banchero also suffered a turn oblique, missing almost 2½ months before returning earlier this month.
